Curious Listening Interwoven with Numinous Talking

Because it is way less about the topic and way more about the way we talk with each other. 

Conversations are our greatest evolutionary tool. They are the starting point for doing anything about everything. They are our most powerful lever for change. 

Some tips for having enjoyable, informative and inspiring conversations: 

1. Think of all the things you really want to say about something… and DON’T say them
2. Ask questions. Find out how the other person FEELS about the topic and what their EXPERIENCES and THOUGHTS are for dealing with the topic.
3. Then LISTEN. Don’t interrupt. Resist the urge to reply, argue, console and/or fix. Your one job is to listen with curiosity and to understand where a person is coming from. 
4. Then it’s your turn. Answer the same question/s you asked of them. And remember… firstly it’s about feelings then it’s about experiences and thoughts. Share your most numinous stories with an intention to offer something interesting and of use to others. 
5. At which point… choose whether to go through 1 to 4 again or just go free style!
